We have some updates regarding this blueberry season. Earlier last week, it seemed like this year would be better than the last. However, after inspecting the production fields this afternoon, we noticed many berries on the ground, and the bushes that were once full of ripening berries now have significantly fewer than they did last week. We're uncertain whether storms, animals, or another factor is to blame, but we won't be offering pre-picked blueberries this year. We under

Things are coming along about like the the last couple of years. All the rain, although needed greatly, has kept the weather cooler and clouded. This means the ripening has slowed down. We have started having a few sunny warm days lately and this really speeds things up. Tentatively we are looking at sometime next week for opening day if the weather cooperates with us.
